Bristol Guitar Society

Welcome to the Home page

Our first meeting was in November 2005, ending a long period without a society in Bristol catering for enthusiasts of the Spanish guitar. The main focus of the society is therefore on acoustic, finger-style, nylon strung guitar, particularly classical, but also allowing for arrangements of other music (jazz, blues, popular etc.).

We meet at the Pierian Centre (Tel. 924 4512), 27 Portland Square, Bristol, usually on the second Thursday of the month. Time: From 8:00 to around 9:30 pm. Arrive early and help yourselves to coffee and biscuits in the reception room.
The purpose of meeting regularly is to get to know other guitarists and to share ideas. We also hope to organise recitals and master classes. We currently pay £3 for the room, plus (voluntary) £2 towards club funds, which will provide us with some funds for the purposes of booking venues, artists etc..

Please visit the Links and Contacts page if you'd like more information.
